The 2nd Annual Richard Gill Appreciation Day
We were immensely proud to host our second annual Richard Gill Appreciation Day at RGS on November 14th. We welcomed friends, families, and valued community members to join us in recognising and celebrating the profound and lasting impact that Richard Gill has had, not only on our school community but also on music education as a whole.
Throughout the day, our students immersed themselves in a range of Richard Gill-themed activities. These included a collaborative artwork project, learning a song in both English and Spanish, and participating in fun musical games. The morning culminated in a shared lunch with our families, providing a wonderful opportunity to reflect on our students’ remarkable achievements and growth throughout the year.
After lunch, our students delivered a heartwarming performance, featuring a selection of compositions by Richard Gill, including "Alleluia," "Higglty Pigglty Pop," "One Two Buckle My Shoe," and "Diddle Diddle Dumpling." We concluded the day on a high note by singing our school song, "O Come Now My Friends."
What a truly wonderful and heartwarming experience to share with the students and families of RGS!
Orientation Days and Looking Ahead at RGS
Our newest Kindergarten students have successfully completed their orientation days, and we are absolutely thrilled to welcome them into the RGS family!
Starting Kindergarten is a truly momentous milestone, marking the beginning of an incredible adventure filled with discovery, foundational learning, and imaginative growth for our youngest students.
As we approach the end of 2025, I have been reflecting on our journey so far and looking excitedly toward our future trajectory. In 2026, we will see our first-ever Year 6 class complete their primary education, preparing for their transition into Year 7 in 2027. As a school in its foundational years, we are consistently evolving and growing.
Being a part of a growing school allows us to build and shape an exceptional educational experience, giving every student the unique opportunity to contribute to the traditions and culture that will define RGS for generations to come.
Our next and final blog for 2025 will feature the award recipients from our End of Year Celebration Assembly. This highly anticipated assembly is a wonderful and meaningful way to finish the year by acknowledging the hard work, dedication, and outstanding achievements of our students across all year levels.
